Welcoming ASLEF and the RCM to Join Together
Posted
Over the last few months, we’ve been putting together improved online joining experiences for two new unions to the Join Together platform — ASLEF and the Royal College of Midwives.
ASLEF, the union for train drivers, is using our new “campaigns” functionality, allowing them to customise recruitment all the way down to the individual depot level, with unique “join” links, QR codes and messaging for each. They’re also using our passwordless “update your details” tool, giving members a user-friendly way of maintaining their record with the union, making it easier to stay in contact and increase engagement and participation.
The RCM’s new, simpler, faster form deals with some long-standing issues and pain points, including handling for rejoiners, and an improved experience for international members. The redesigned form quickly captures all of the key information needed from members to understand their professional background, employer and workplace, as well as add professional subscriptions that can help them in their midwifery career. It’s still early days, but the new form is currently converting 50% better than the one it replaced.
We’re delighted both unions have chosen to work with us, and we look forward to further close collaboration to develop new tools and services for members over the coming years.
